A Tru State Of Mind Vol.3???/What I Stand For

Whatsgoodie everybody,hope everyone had a bless week. As you know I am working on a trilogy mixtape entitled A Tru State Of Mind. I have been thinking about what I should name the third and final chapter of this epic story and I have come across "A Tru'z Dissertation". Because I really didn't want the last chapter to be straight up R-n-B because I mature more after each mixtape I put out. And life just has more ups and downs and thats what I write about and I dont want to do something completely out of the box and sound like everybody else out in the industry. I refuse to dumb myself down to their level. I have a message that I want to deliver to the audience and I refuse to throw myself around the stage or put on chains and use 808's in beats just to get people to dance. THATS NOT ME AT ALL. Like I tell people all the time, that I will still have my own style of dress,beats,lyrics and lifestyle. I stand out from most rappers. Im influenced by Tupac,Nas,Lupe Fiasco,Common,Slick Rick,Onyx,Method Man..etc. I am a conscience rapper and it DOES NOT MATTER who signs me, I will still give you the same delivery and the same lyrics,noone will change that but GOD!..I will continue to live this life and write from my perspective and others. This isnt a message of ignorance or ego. I just wanted to tell you all that being true to life is what I stand for,and I am pretty sure that there is a young kid out there writing in his composition notebook saying the same thing. Awesome News!!

Whatsgoodie yall!! How's everybody doing?.. I've been busy as always,as you can see its March and my last post was in January lol. But yes yes yall, I am back with alot of projects in my mind. I am officially apart of an independent entity labeled F.R.E.E. Music Group. I am blessed to be apart of a wonderful group of talented rappers,singers,and producers. My debut album which I'm calling "Prayer Of A Tru" will be due out later in 2012. As you know I am working on my upcoming mixtape "A Tru State Of Mind Vol.2:The Last Tru Standing" and the production has started. I will be producing half of the album and the other half my good friend Michael Drake will producing. This mixtape is going to sound very different from the first volume and it will be much more graphic. Other than that,thats all I have been working on. New Year..New Projects!

Whatsgoodie everybody,hope everyone is having a blessed vacation and/or new school year,lol. Just letting everybody know that I am back at work with my band "The Morning Broadcast". An acoustic band which includes myself and my friend/roommate Eric Tremblay. Dude is a beast on the guitar and his vocals are a breath of fresh air. We will be working on our EP in a few weeks and it should be amazing.

THE LAST TRU STANDING!!

WUZGOODIE WUZGOODIE YALL?!?!

i am currently on a short hiatus from the hip-hop community for a bit. But the beat making is still in effect,lol. I will be locked up in the studio for the next year or so recording for my next mixtape "A Tru State Of Mind Vol.2:The Last Tru Standing"..the project is coming out nice so far. I will be working on a couple of leak tracks so you can hear the change. This album is more deep and more political. I really touch base on alot of what's going on in the world today and in the rap game. I'm also listening to other artists trying to get inspired so I can get a sense of where I want to go with my album. I have no release date for this mixtape yet because I just want to take my time with this one and see how many tracks I can come up with.

The recording progress for this mixtape will start in the late winter. I have already started writing some songs and WOAH you will all be amazed. I'm using instrumentals for this mixtape,not my beats. I just wanted to really show you my lyrical ability for this mixtape. MINDSTATE was just a preview of what I can do. But THE LAST TRU STANDING is my way of saying "say what you want about me,but I am not going anywhere because I'm on a mission."

The Progress...

Hey whatsgoing on yall??

Ive been stressing like crazy,ughh school,drumming,rapping,working on new music

I sware I havent made a beat in almost a month,but as some of yall may know that I am getting ready too release my first mixtape from a year of taking off too focus on my drumming. This mixtape is really going too be special. It's very deep and at some points depressing but you have to get through all of the pain too get into a TRU STATE OF MIND. This is definitely a crazy,bumping,jazzy,musically inclined experience. My homie DJ-Royalty is doing his thugthizzle on the mixing and mastering. We have this crazy way of thinking and we have different ideas and we'll put them together and the outcome is just CRAZINESS!!!!!

I also started writing too my 2nd mixtape The Last Tru Standing. This one is bigger and broader,but you have too listen too Mindstate first because I want you too feel the vibe. This month has been crazy,so much ups and downs, I just wrote straight from those experiences. Im taking a break from producing on this album. I wanted too go back to my old roots of writing too random instrumentals. This mixtape is all about the lyrics,not the beats. Im going back too what RAP stood for, Rhythm And Poetry, and thats exactly what you will be getting next year with THE LAST TRU STANDING.

The last installment of A.T.S.O.M. "Love&Pain" is still in production. I have always wanted too make an rnb mixtape, and so far the beats are going well, I am no where near finished with this one,lol. I will take my time with this one on the real.

-The first single off of the mixtape. I speak about keeping your mind at ease and not too follow the footsteps of those who are doing wrong in this world. Mainly keeping God first in your life and he'll lay out a plan for you too keep you in a TRU STATE OF MIND!

3. Bro

-This song is about my little brother,whom I love so much. People might think I'm bashing him in this song but I'm not. I want him too know that I am always here for him and that I want him too change his ways and be the little brother that I've always known and loved.

4. Vexed

-This was one of the first songs I wrote after my breakup,which happened last year. You can hear my anger and pain in my voice. This song really shows my dark side and how angry one can get when someone you trusted just turns on you.

5. Life In Scene

-This song is about living life,frame after frame,a step at a time. A menacing hard-beat makes it seem so dark,but the song has a light message. Don't let your past kill you in your present. Move passed it,and if you have too, do it in steps.

6. How Can I...

-This song was originally supposed too be on the 3rd installment of A Tru State Of Mind, which is entitled Love&Pain. When I made this beat, I thought too myself that this song has too be gritty and menacing. When I recorded the song, I just thought of all the bad memories and you can hear it in my voice when I'm rapping. So this song is just about bad times and how I try too get away from them,hence the name "How Can I.."

7. Preserve Of Life

-This song was originally entitled "The Target". It's about how I am plotted on in this strange situation. From back stabbing friends and people who turned their back on me, left me alone in my darkest hour. The song really speaks for itself.

8. Dig

-Now I have a tendency too say "DIGG" alot after I say something meaningful. But now I use it in both of its contexts. I'm telling the listener that whatever they are going through, you can dig yourself out and start from scratch and live a life with no accidentals. DIGGG!

9. An Ode To Cindy (An Ode To Hip-Hop)

-Ok now this song is based on a poem I wrote entitled "Cindy". And it was about the state of hip-hop and how people are taking advantage of it and raping the foundation, and I related it too how guys take advantage of women and I came across the name Cindy. Another song that speaks for itself when you hear it.

10. Mindstate (Intermission)

-Just a smooth transition from the pain too the lighter side of things on the mixtape,lol. No but seriously, this song is like the mini-version of A Tru State Of Mind. I talk about how too get into a good mindstate. The flow is very good,and I was amazed on how it came out too.

11. She's Something Tru feat. DJ-Mimi

-This song was originally for my ex and I didn't want too put this song on the mixtape but one day I just said forget it, I need too stick too my R&B roots and put a smooth love song on here and so I did. Any couple can relate too the lyrics of this song. And I loved making this beat too,and when you hear that guitar solo on the breakdown, that was all keyboard and me!

12. Lov3rz Entwin3d [Parts I and II]

- Ok probably one of the most happiest-breakup songs that I have ever written,lol. This was coming out of the lighter side of me. I wrote this song a few months after my breakup,when I could actually dealt with why she did what she did. Part I is the original song and Part II is accapella, you can hear the pain in my voice as I just pour my heart out in a sense.

13. FlashBack Lov3

-This song deals with the flashbacks of a former lover. Not even in my situation (even though it does have meaning) but just in general. I think that every person who has been in a relationship,still has flashbacks of the good old days,and then the betrayal which repeats over and over again.

14. In Ur Eyez

-This song is simply about my ex in a nutshell. This is my way of telling her, okay I'm done crying over you, I don't want you back. It came off as a diss track in a way but she hurt me horribly and this is my way of hurting her back tenfold.

15. To The Sky

-Every mixtape I put out, I always have a special track too my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And I mentioned him alot on this mixtape, I'm trying too show people that he loves you and he truly cares, just give yourself too him and you will be saved and not have too worry about your past.

16. In Due Time

-At first when I made this beat, I was amazed on how everything came out. I didn't start writing this song until late May or earlier. But the lyrics are also very touching. It's my testimony in a sense and all the thing's that I want will come in due time. Just have patience and you will get what you want in life,but not all at one time and thats what the song is mainly about.

17. Lookin' Out My Window feat. Erika Bahr

-This beat is so ridiculous man. It has a jazzy feel too it. Now what I really love about this song is the chorus. It's funny because when I wrote the lyrics,first of all it was way too high for me. So I had my friend Erika sing it for me,and I showed her how the chorus went in my falsetto and she killed it!. The lyrics are very conscience. I wrote in my point of view of two individuals who are doing what they have too do too make ends meet. The Hustla and The Prostitute. The chorus pretty much sums up the song and its characters.

18. Outro

-Part two of "Lookin Out My Window". This is just instrumental. You can call it "Outside Lookin' In".

19. Thugz Mansion (T. Truthz version)

-Now everybody knows that I am very influenced by Tupac's poetry and songs. So it's only right that I pay homage too one of Hip-Hop's open minded personalities. I was very influenced the day I wrote this song. I was so influenced that I recorded it the same day also. The lyrics are very touching. This yet again another song that I just poured out my heart and soul. I take the listener through my past,which included suicidal thoughts and being a bullies victim. This song should touch everybody who listens.
